Kia ora e te whanau.

I te Paraire i hipa atu nei, i takatuu maatou ki te whare o Koro Rua. I reira raua ko Koro Mark me David e whakarite ana he poaka mo te huritau a Reremoana. He mokopuna nooku. I whai ake nei, weetahi pikitia o to maatou haere ki te matakitaki i a Koro Mark maa. Kino kee ngaa tamariki ki te patae waa raatou patae i te waa i tapahia te poaka, e Koro Mark. Anei kee weetahi a o raatou patae:
  • He aha tera?
  • Ka taea e au te whawha i tena?
  • Kua moe te poaka, kua mate kee raanei?
  • Kai te tapahia te waewae o te poaka?
  • He aha ai i tapahi i te poaka?

Last Friday, Koro Mark, and David were preparing a pig for Reremoana birthday at home. So, away we went to see the process. Following are just some of the photos taken while the tamariki observed. As some of the tamariki observed intently, they asked some awesome questions which follow:
  • What is that?
  • Can we touch it?
  • Is it asleep or is it dead?
  • Why are you cutting it up?
  • Are you going to cut the feet off?
For the full video of the tamariki observing this awesome experience, send in your usb key or a writable DVD and we will be more then happy to upload a copy for you. If you love blood and cuts, you'll love this video, if not, well I'm sure your child will.

Isla says "Hi all my friends" and "Matua Vila-the poaka looks like it's inside out!"
