HE MIHI AROHA!

Sadly, last week, Forsaith's nan and Whaea Lucy's grandmother past away. On behalf of all the whanau of Matariki, we send our aroha to you all.

Four of our tamariki and two staff members attended Forsaith's nan's tangi at Waiotahi, Maromahue Marae, and after saying bye to Forsaith and Lil, we stopped at the gorge for a swim.

Riki deciding whether he wants to go for a swim or not.

Tuhaka wanted me to take this picture of the kohatu he found while at the gorge.

Te Kereama enjoying his swim at the gorge.

Takarea having a cool refreshing kaukau.

"I was trying to wet you." Tuhaka

Kia Ora Matariki, Whaea Lu here. I was so proud to hear that a group of you had gone to tautoko Forsaith's Nan. Sorry I missed you all, but ended up going on the Saturday. Adn received a lot of positive feedback about your attendance at the tangi. I miss being able to do 'real' things at a centre, like stopping off at a river for a swim. Have shown a few friends/teachers the website, and they love it. Keep up the good work!!!
