Kia Ora
Whanau yes it has been an extremely long time since we used our blog! But now that
Whaea Ata has put the
Internet on our children's computer a whole new world has opened up for the children and we would really like to share some of our discoveries with you and
give you a little snapshot of what we've been doing each day.

This week of course it's School Holidays, so we have been running our holiday programme as usual. Yesterday was Water Play Day and, although the weather wasn't too flash, we still managed to have fun with water, puring different colours, mixing
colours and experimenting with different containers. Luckily the weather fined up in the afternoon and some of the
tamariki were able to have a swim as well.
Forsaith and
Irihapeti building towers.

Last week
Matua Vila made a real camp fire, and the
tamariki were able to experience cooking mussels, and toasting marshmallows. So much wonderful learning and discussion stemmed from this experience.

We look forward to sharing more photos and stories with you. We are so enjoying exploring the
Internet. As you may know, one of the
Tamarikis' favourite books is "The
Gruffalo" by Julia Donaldson. Well, we were very excited to find a fabulous
Gruffalo website and we have been playing the card matching game and the Witches Word Hunt game too. We also found out a lot about a moth that some of the boys discovered in the garden, and a frog that
Isla's Daddy found, which she bought in to the centre.
